Laverty Park Restroom Building and Parking Lot Upgrade

July 20, 2026
The Laverty Park improvement project is scheduled to begin in August 2026 and will bring several upgrades to better serve residents and park visitors. A new building will provide upgraded restrooms with flush facilities, along with space for maintenance storage. The project will also include ADA access improvements, new fencing, and parking lot upgrades, including repaving and restriping.
Construction is expected to be completed by spring 2027, bringing improved amenities and greater accessibility for everyone who enjoys the park.
Funding for this project comes from two sources. The parking lot improvements are being supported through Metro Parks Program funding provided by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Additional funding is a result of the Anderson Parks 25-year Park Improvement Plan approved by voters in November 2023. The 1 mill capital levy is dedicated to improvement projects in the parks, focused on the 6 Ps: Paths, Potties, Parking, Playgrounds, Pickleball, and Playability. This project directly supports two of the levy’s “6 Ps” priorities: Parking and Potties, through upgrades to the parking lot and restroom facilities. Visit Park Capital Levy 2023 – Anderson Park District for the full list of park improvements planned and project status updates.
